Here are Nine Joyous Navarathri Recipes from premier kitchen that You Can Whip Up in Literally No Time!
Let’s Start With Sweets!
Badam Halwa
Some love the sweetness, others love the texture, but one thing we can’t deny is that we all love badam halwa is one of the super navratri recipes you should cook.
To prepare this sweet soak almond kernels in water overnight. Remove the skin of the almond and grate it or power it. Dry roast the grated / powdered almond in your Premier Non Stick Kadai with Stainless Steel lid until brown. Add ghee and sugar and keep stirring it until to becomes a thick mixture. Add in a few stranders of saffron and garnish with a few pieces of almond. Add a hint of yellow food coloring if needed / wanted.
This recipe can be cooked even during the navratri vrat ka khana, often celebrated in northern parts of country. Its considered to cook an sweet during auspicious days.
Carrot Kheer
Here is a simple navratri recipes for the fitness aficionados!
Grate some carrot and roast in with a spoon of ghee in a Premier Non Stick Induction Bottom Cookware 4 Piece of Set. Add in some milk and sugar and keep stirring it until it the sugar completely dissolves in the milk.
If you like your kheer to be thick, creamy and sweet at the same time, add condensed milk in lieu of the sugar and milk. Add in some strands of saffron. This kheer tastes great when served warm or cold. It is a great navratri treat for guests and visitors. In most southern parts of India, carrot payasam are made but instead we can make this delicious premier carrot recipe for navaratri naivedyam.
Sweet Amani Kozakattai
Do you love modaks or kozakattais? If yes, here is a super easy yet delicious recipe.
Dry Roast some rice flour in Premier Non Stick Superb Deep Kadai with Glass Lid Induction Base. Add it some water in ghee and stir to make a thick dough. Roll the dough into balls and steam them for 10 to 15 minutes. Use a Premier Coconut Grater and grate some coconuts. Prepare a liquid by melting jaggery in water. Add this coconut to this and turn off the stove. Stir until this thickens.
Add the rice balls to the coconut-jaggery mixture and ensure that they are coated well. Make this navratri a special one by making navratri special food for your loved ones.
Savouring those Savouries!
Shakkarpale:
This savoury is extremely popular during Navarathri and is extremely easy to make.
To make the dough, mix some Maida with a pinch of salt and adequate amount of water. Knead the dough well and roll it into flat roti shaped circles using belan and chakla. Cut this into small squares or diamonds.
Fry these in hot oil for 10-15 seconds using a Premier Non Stick Superb Fry Pan with Glass Lid IB. Take it out of the oil and place it in a sieve lined with butter paper. Pack it into small potlis or packets and serve it to your guests.
Murukku:
Make a dough using urad dal flour, rice flour, a hint of chilli powder, jeera and salt. Ensuring that this dough is thick and tight. Take oil in a Premier Non-stick Pan and hear it. Place the dough in the Premier Murukku Acchu and extrude into the murukku shape. Fry the shaped dough until crispy.
If you don’t get the right shape the first time you do this, fret not. Practice is the key to making fine murukkus and you will be able to perfect the art of marking murukkus by the time you make your tenth murukku. Include some crispy navratri snack to your list to make it perfect festive season.
Besan Chilla:
If you want to, or like to serve hot food to your guests, here is a recipe that you will love. Take besan, red chilli, coriander, turmeric and salt and grind it to a smooth and flowing paste using a Premier Pinky 550W Mixer Ginder KM528. You can also add a few spoons of yogurt and semolina to this mixture. This besan chilla is one of most favorite dish in vrat ka khana during navratri.
Take a Premier Tawa and heat it. Pour the batter on to the Tawa to form thick pancakes. Serve these with groundnut or coriander chutney. Your can also add cut onion or grated career to the batter if you like the crunchy texture it offers.
Sundal: The Stars of the Season
We have all heard of peas, chole, dal sundals. Here are three different and interesting Sundal Recipes to Rock Your Navarathri.
Peanut Sundal With A Twist:
Soak peanuts (with their skin) in warm water for about 15 minutes. Steam them in a Premier Cucina Trendy Black Induction Bottom Handi Pressure Cooker With Glass Lid for 15 to 20 minutes. Once the pressure is released, drain the water and set aside.
In your Premier Kadai fry some urad dal, curry leaves and mustard. Once it begins to crackle, turn off the stove and add some milaga podi or chutney powder and a pinch of salt to it. Mix this with the steamed peanuts thoroughly. Navrtri sundals are most made during this season, also can been eaten as navratri snacks.
Corn Sundal:
We all love juicy corn and we can make some amazing corn Sundal with kernels.
But some canned or dry corn kernels. Steam the canned kernels for about 15 minutes. If you are using dry kernels, use Premier Comfort Stainless Steel Sandwich Botttom Pressure Cooker for 3 or 4 whistles.
In a kadai, fry some diced or julienned capsicum in salted butter. You can also use vegetable oil or unsalted butter in lieu of salted butter (but remember to add salt). Add and thoroughly mix the corn kernels and serve! Another all time navrtri snack is corn sundal, makes it healthy and filling for perfect navrtri evening.
Rajma Sundal:
When we can have chole or Channa Sundal (called Kondakadala in the south), why not try its healthier counterpart: Rajma Sundal. The procedure to make this Sundal is very similar to the corn Sundal. However, the only difference is that the rajma should be soaked overnight in water.
If you can’t soak it overnight in water, it should be soaked in warm or hot water for at least three hours and cook in the Premier Electric Rice Cooker. This recipe tastes delicious and offers some change to the palette.
Bonus: Nine Sundals for Navarathri
If you don’t want to repeat any of the sundals, here are nine different sundals you can try, All you need to do is to cook the main ingredient using a Premier Pressure cooker or saucepan, and add sautéed or tempered mustard, urad dal and curry leaves.
