It’s the day to honor the humble coconut, the one decadent fruit that completes every Indian kitchen. Make the best Coconut Recipes Using Premier Cookware an incredibly easy method. For preparing these dishes you can either use existing cookware or buy cookware online.
The Nut of India
Most of us are not aware of this but India happens to be the third largest producer of coconuts in the world and coconut was first referred to by the Venetian explorer Marco polo as the Indian Nut. History mentions the origin of coconut in many places, but we as Indians have truly embraced this fruit as your own. Be it in your scriptures, on your coastlines and most importantly in your food.
For most of us even imported treats would not match up to the ladoos or barfis made with coconut and ghee. And these are some delectable reasons to celebrate world coconut day.
On the occasion of world coconut day, let’s look at 3 easy recipes using 3 of your most versatile Premier Kitchen Cookware utensils.
Here’s Bon Appetite in Advance!
Coconut till (Sesame Seeds) Ladoos:
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Grated Coconut
- 7 Dates
- 3 tablespoons Ghee
- ½ cup Sesame seeds
Note: Firstly before you start the recipe, let us remind you that your Premier Wet Grinder has a separate coconut scraper attachment to make your grating work easier. Gone are the days when you need to manually grate the coconut meat to get grated coconut. Simply, attach the coconut scraper to your Premier Wet Grinder and add in your coconut pieces. Grind till all the shredded coconut collects in the bottom of the wet grinder section. This is another robust feature added to make the process tidy and easy.
How to make it?
Now for making the ladoos, chop the deseeded dates. On the stove place your Premier Nonstick Cookware Pan and dry roast the sesame seeds for about 2 minutes on medium flame until golden brown and set aside to cool. The nonstick cookware is designed to reduce excess oil consumption and thus is healthy and more balanced. On the same pan add your grated coconut and slightly brown them. Once cooled add sesame seeds to your Premier Spice Grinder- an all-purpose grinder. And give it a smooth blitz till it’s lightly grind, keep in mind not to grind the sesame seeds finely.
Now add all the ingredients namely coconut, sesame seeds, dates and ghee to the same bowl and mix well till they hold. Take small amounts of mixture and roll it in hand to form a ball or ladoo. You can even use the Premier Spice Grinder- to powder some coconut and roll the coconut ladoos on the powder to add texture.
Coconut Barfi
If you think making barfi could be a taxing affair, there is no need to worry anymore. Here is an easy barfi recipe that can be prepared with freshly grated coconut, grated in your Premier Wet Grinder. Your wet grinder is specially designed with quality material for trouble free and lasting performance. As a robust appliance, it can grind various ingredients like soaked grains, vegetables and especially shredded coconut with ease.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Grated Coconut
- 7 Dates
- 3 tablespoons Ghee
- ½ cup Sesame seeds
How to make?
Heat 2 to 3 tsp ghee in a non-stick pan. Add 1 heaped cup of coconut and stir well. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes on a low flame. Now pour ¾ cup condensed milk and continue to mix well. As it slowly starts to bubble you can add 1 tbsp sugar and keep stirring. If you find the sweetness of condensed milk is apt for your taste, then you can skip the sugar completely. Then ground a few pods of cardamom in your Premier Spice Grinder and grind it to a powder before adding the fresh ground cardamom powder (3 to 4 cardamoms) into pan. Stir and continue to cook the coconut burfi mixture. The mixture would reduce and begun to lose its moisture.
Continue to stir, till the mixture releases ghee from its sides. You don’t have to worry about mixture sticking to the bottom of the pan because your non-stick pans are designed to keep the food from burning or get caught on the vessel. Finally once the coconut burfi has cooled completely, then slice it into squares or diamond shapes and serve!
